NES Health seeks a Hospitalist Site Medical Director to lead our practice at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center located in Roswell, New Mexico.

About the Hospital
• 162 Bed Community Hospital
• Part of CHS
• Level III Trauma Center

• Medhost EDIS EMR (transitioning to CERNER Sept 2024)

• Teaching hospital with medical students, APP students, Nursing students, and RadTech students.

• Teleradiology
• Tele Interventional Radiology
• Pediatrics covered by FM physicians
• Psychiatry – 25 bed adult psych unit
• Anesthesiology – all CRNA team
• Tele-Intensivists 24/7
• Ultrasound
• Hospitalist
• General Surgery
• Podiatry
• Gastro
• Cardiology (2 diagnostic and 1 interventional)
• Tele Neuro 24/7
• Neurology
• Accredited Chest Pain Center
• Certified Primary Stroke Center

About the Program and Hours
• HM Program averages 40-50 pt encounters per day
• 7 on and 7 off model
• 12-hour Physician Shifts (48 hours/day)
• 12-hour APP Shifts (12 hours/day)

Qualifications
• Active New Mexico license in the state or ability to attain unrestricted state license
• Candidate Must be residency trained and BE/BC in IM or FM

• Prior HM Leadership experiance 

About the Community
Roswell, situated at the confluence of three rivers--the Spring, the Hondo, the Pecos--was established in 1870 by Van Smith, although the first historically documented settlement (1867) in the area was a settlement of crude adobe huts at "Rio Hondo," the present day neighborhood of Chihuahuita. The Roswell and Chaves County area was contained within the original homeland of the Mescalero Apaches and overlapped the hunting grounds of the Comanche’s and became the campsite on the Goodnight-Loving Trail, which opened in 1866. The trail brought the ranching industry to the area, which flourishes to the present day.
