NES Health seeks a Hospital Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our practice at Carlsbad Medical Center located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

• Part of CHS
• Level III Trauma Center
• Medhost EDIS EMR

Coverage includes:
• Teleradiology
• Tele Interventional Radiology
• Pediatrics
• Anesthesiology
• Tele-Intensivists 24/7
• Ultrasound (limited)
• OB/GYN
• Ortho
• Hospitalist
• General Surgery
• Podiatry
• Gastro
• Optho (limited)
• Plastics (limited)
• ENT (limited)
• Cardio (limited)
• Neurology (tele)
• 90 min lab turn around times

About the Program and Hours
• HM Program averages 43 pt encounters per day
• HM Physicians average 16-18 pt encounters per day
• Average of 4 admissions at night
• Open ICU with 24/7 tele-intensivist coverage
• ICU level pts consult Tele-Intensivists
• Hospitalist not required to do procedures but is preferred: central line, intubation, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, etc.
• Responds to RRT/Code
• CODE Team runs the Codes, but Physician responds to CODE/code.
• 24-hour Physician Shifts (24 hours/day)
• 12-hour APP Shifts (12 hours/day)

Qualifications
• Active New Mexico license in the state or ability to attain unrestricted state license
• Candidate Must be PA or FNP trained and boarded
• Active ACLS required.
